
Daniels was born in Monongahlea, PA in 1949. Daniels went on to Princeton, graduating with honors in 1971, He then obtained his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1979. Daniels held various public office positions, most notably serving as Chief Political Advisor to Reagan and Director of the Office of Management and Budget under George Bush. Daniels was elected Governor of Indiana in 2004 and was re-elected in 2008, where he currently holds office.
