VaLinda Hathcox hasb served as Deputy Attorney General and Director of Governmental Relations under Texas Attorney General Jim Mattox. She also served as Director of Governmental Affairs and Attorney for the Texas Association of Counties and was Director of Legislative Affair for the State Bar of Texas. VaLinda has also served as Hopkins County Attorney.
